2 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Brent Rooker (hamstring) is back in the starting lineup on Friday against the Texas Rangers and right-hander Jon Gray, serving as the designated hitter and batting third in the lineup. Rooker hasn't played since leaving Tuesday's contest early with a hamstring injury, but the ailment wasn't serious enough to land him on the injured list. The 28-year-old outfielder has earned regular playing time early in 2023 by hitting .324 (12-for-37) with a double, four home runs, 11 RBI and five runs scored in 12 games played for the last-place A's. Rooker is worth rostering in deeper leagues while he's swinging it well, but there just isn't a ton of fantasy value here for the rebuilding A's.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
