1 year agoOakland Athletics outfielder Brent Rooker is out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Braves. This marks the second day in a row that Rooker has sat out for rest purposes. He did pinch-hit during Monday's game, but was replaced on the bath paths after drawing a walk. That being said, possibly Rooker is dealing with an undisclosed injury. He has also slumped badly over the last month after his hot start to the season. Rooker is slashing .196/.284/.320 with two homers and 10 RBI in May. Ramon Laureano will serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth versus right-hander Bryce Elder on Tuesday.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
