2 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Brent Rooker had a nice game Thursday, going 2-for-4 with a pair of homers in an 8-7 loss against the Baltimore Orioles. He drove in five runs while scoring a pair himself. Rooker homered off of Cole Irvin in the third inning, and then off Austin Voth in the fifth. Although he started the season as a bench player, the 28-year-old has now started three in a row and was hitting third in the lineup on Thursday. On a terrible Oakland team, he has a chance to be an everyday player if he can continue hitting. Based on his track record that doesn't seem likely, but in deeper leagues he is someone to watch.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
