Brendan Steele Disappoints in Travelers Championship
6 years agoBrendan Steele logged a disappointing missed cut in the Travelers Championship. Steele seemed to be on cruise control in Friday's second round and was a comfortable four-under par with only seven holes left to play. He then proceeded to bogey three of his last five holes, to finish at one-under par through 36 holes. The score resulted in Steele missing the two-under par cut line by one shot. The missed cut comes as a shocking result for a player that had logged five top-25 finishes at TPC River Highlands during his career. The PGA tour veteran has always struggled with his putting, but the missed cut at the Travelers was due to poor ball striking. Steele has struggled with his game since the Masters in April and will need to figure things out quickly to stay DFS-relevant. He is not currently scheduled to play at next week's Quicken Loans National.
