Breece Hall Feeling "Better Than Ever" Heading Into Week 1
7 months agoNew York Jets lead running back Breece Hall said he is feeling great heading into a Week 1 showdown on Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers. Hall is hoping to carry the momentum of his strong 2023 campaign into this year after he totaled 1,585 scrimmage yards and got better as the year progressed, recording 507 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns over the final three games. "I feel like I'm better than ever right now. Really to me, I haven't really done anything in this league yet. … Christian McCaffrey sets the standard. He's a top-10 player in this league, and I feel like with my talent and the team we have, I have potential to trend towards that way. So, I'm just excited to get rolling," Hall said. Outside of CMC and maybe second-year back Bijan Robinson in Atlanta, the 23-year-old Hall is one of the most versatile and explosive backs in the NFL. He's a high-end, must-start RB1 each and every week in fantasy.

Jets Unlikely To Pursue Early Extension For Breece Hall
4 weeks agoThe Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt writes that the New York Jets are unlikely to pursue an early contract extension with running back Breece Hall, who will be a free agent in 2026. It doesn't mean that won't change, but the Jets have to promising young backs in Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis, who are both under contract through 2027. Hall, who tore his ACL in his rookie season in 2022, took a slight step back in 2024 with 876 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 209 rushing attempts in 16 starts, adding 57 receptions on 76 targets for 483 yards and three additional scores through the air. The 23-year-old running back still has RB1 upside in fantasy heading into his fourth NFL season, but he finished as the RB17 in half-PPR scoring a year ago, and the jury will be out on his 2025 fantasy value until we know who the Jets will be starting at quarterback.

Breece Hall Runs For 57 Yards, Catches TD In Week 18 Win
3 months agoNew York Jets running back Breece Hall carried the ball 12 times for 57 yards and caught three of his five targets for 15 yards and a touchdown while rushing for a two-point conversion in a 32-20 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 18. Hall's late-season struggles on the ground continued as he failed to top 60 rushing yards in five straight games to close out the year. That being said, he salvaged his afternoon with a six-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter. Hall finishes his 2024 season with 876 rushing yards while catching 57 passes for 483 yards and scoring eight all-purpose touchdowns. He will be back as the Jets' lead running back heading into the 2025 season, although rookies Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis both flashed at various points throughout the season.

Breece Hall An RB2 In Week 18
3 months agoNew York Jets running back Breece Hall will put the final touches on his 2024 season in a home matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 18. Hall was quiet in his last game, posting 53 all-purpose yards on 11 touches. He will look to bounce back against a Miami run defense that is allowing just the 20th-most fantasy points per game to running backs this season. Hall settles in as an RB2 in fantasy but is probably not a high-ceiling play in DFS contests this weekend due to his recent struggles and the tough matchup on tap.

Breece Hall Posts 53 All-Purpose Yards In Week 17 Loss
3 months agoNew York Jets running back Breece Hall carried the ball 10 times for 45 yards and caught his lone target for an eight-yard gain in a 40-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 17. Hall was quiet in the blowout loss, although the Jets went pass-heavy after falling behind 33-0 in the third quarter. That being said, his slow performance is even more disappointing considering he caught just one pass with the Jets in comeback mode. The veteran running back has struggled over his past three games, failing to top 52 yards while scoring just once over that span. Hall will look to bounce back in the season finale against the Miami Dolphins in Week 18.
