Braxton Garrett Continues Rolling Against Pirates
1 year agoMiami Marlins left-handed starting pitcher Braxton Garrett had a dominant outing on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Garrett showed tremendous stuff in this one, punching out a staggering 13 batters while allowing just a run on three hits and no walks over seven innings. He had 14 swinging strikes and a CSW% of 42%, which is a fantastic number. The 25-year-old has been excellent over his last eight starts, allowing two earned runs or less in all but one and posting 62 strikeouts in 45 IP. He has also been pitching deeper into games, going hand in hand with his walks coming down. It's all looking up for Garrett, who is now a must-roster pitcher in all formats.
