Brandon Woodruff Suffers Loss Monday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff took the loss in a 4-2 defeat to the Mets on Monday. The right-hander cruised through the first six innings of his start (allowing just one earned run over 64 pitches) before being chased in the seventh after giving up three earned runs. The 28-year-old finished the night after 6 1/3 innings, serving up four earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out six. The newly minted 2021 All-Star is now 7-4 on the season with a 2.10 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 125 strikeouts over 107 1/3 innings. The Brew Crew ace will take the ball against the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday before heading into the All-Star break.
