Brandon Sproat Headed To Triple-A
3 months agoNew York Mets starting pitching prospect Brandon Sproat is being promoted to Triple-A, according to SNY. Sproat made his professional debut this season after being selected in the second round of last year's draft. At High-A, the right-hander logged 25 innings with a stellar 1.07 ERA and 1.11 WHIP. Then, with Double-A Binghamton, Sproat held a 2.45 ERA, 0.87 WHIP, and an incredible 15:77 BB:K ratio in 62 innings of work. In his final start at Double-A, the Florida product tallied a season-high 13 punchouts across five shutout innings. This promotion now opens the door for a potential major league debut during the stretch run. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to his first few starts at Triple-A Syracuse, as he may only need a quick tune-up before heading to Queens.
