Brandon Phillips Smacks Go-Ahead Homer In Red Sox Debut
6 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Brandon Phillips came through in the clutch in his Red Sox debut on Wednesday. With the Red Sox down 8-7 in the top of the ninth inning, Phillips belted a two-run shot which put his squad in the lead for good. Phillips also drew two walks in the game. The best-case scenario for Phillips is that he earns semi-regular playing time for the rest of the season, but due to the depth of the Red Sox, he is not a viable fantasy option.
