Brandon Nimmo Stays Hot With Three-Run Homer Tuesday
4 months agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo continued his strong offensive summer in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Nationals. Nimmo went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run and a strikeout. The 31-year-old capped off a four-run second inning by hitting a Jake Irvin fastball high in the air that carried over the left-field wall. Nimmo had a very slow start to the season but has been excellent since June and now has a .252/.367/.459 slash line with 15 HR, 57 runs scored, 58 RBI, and eight stolen bases in 376 plate appearances. His batting average still has a ways to go to get to his career .268 mark, but fantasy managers will gladly take his current production.
