Brandon Morrow Undergoes MRI

Chicago Cubs closer Brandon Morrow (biceps) underwent an MRI exam on his forearm/biceps on Thursday. He said there was "stuff in there," but he doesn't think he'll need to be out too long. Morrow has been solid for the Cubs in the ninth this year with 22 saves, a 1.47 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and a 9.1 K/9, but this is his second trip to the disabled list. Pedro Strop recorded the save on Thursday and should see a short-term boost in fantasy value with Morrow sidelined, although Steve Cishek and Carl Edwards Jr. could also factor in. The Cubs are rumored to be interested in trading for Orioles closer Zach Britton, too, although it's unclear if he'd interfere with Morrow's ninth-inning job.
