Brandon Miller To Be Re-Evaluated In One Week
Brandon Miller (glute) is set to miss at least a week of action. According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Miller will be re-evaluated in one week after sustaining a left glute strain. The 21-year-old was hurt in Wednesday's season opener against Houston. Tre Mann and Seth Curry will have additional fantasy value during Miller's absence, with the former likely moving to the first unit. Mann put up 11.9 points with 4.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 28 starts last year. However, it must be noted that Mann's productive run came when LaMelo Ball was out of the lineup.

Brandon Miller Will Miss The Rest Of The Season
Brandon Miller (wrist) will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist, the team announced on Thursday. The No. 2 pick overall in the 2023 NBA Draft looked very promising in his 27 games this season, averaging 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.1 steals while playing 34.2 minutes per game. He carried the load for the team when LaMelo Ball was out and will be a key part of the team's plans for the future after he recovers from this surgery. Nick Smith Jr. has stepped into the starting lineup in each of the last three games in Miller's place, averaging 14.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.0 steal per game while playing 25+ minutes in each contest. Smith should continue to benefit from Miller's absence in the short term while Josh Green, Cody Martin, and eventually Tre Mann (back) will all help carry Miller's work going forward.

Brandon Miller Ruled Out For Friday
Brandon Miller (wrist) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the Chicago Bulls. Miller appears to have suffered a wrist sprain during Wednesday's game. As a result, Miller won't play on Friday, so his next chance to get on the court will be on Monday. The loss of Miller is going to be tough to fill given Miller is playing over 30 minutes per game. The expectation is that the Hornets are going to use a committee approach to help fill the void. Cody Martin, Nick Smith, and Josh Okogie should all see more minutes on Friday. Out of the three, Martin is the best streaming choice and could be worth a look while Miller is out.

Brandon Miller Questionable Against Chicago
Brandon Miller (wrist) is questionable heading into Friday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The 22-year-old had 20 points, five boards, three steals, and one block in Wednesday's victory over the Utah Jazz. But he's uncertain to suit up on Friday because of a wrist sprain. Miller has already missed 10 games this season, so fantasy managers are keeping their fingers crossed regarding his availability versus the Bulls. If Miller Isn't out there, Seth Curry, averaging 10.6 points and shooting 45.9% from deep in eight starts this season, will likely fill the void in the lineup, making him an appealing value option for DFS managers.

Brandon Miller Will Be Back In Action On Sunday
Brandon Miller will be able to return from his six-game absence on Sunday when the Hornets face the Cavaliers in Cleveland. Miller and LaMelo Ball (ankle, wrist) will both be back in action for Charlotte, giving them their two top offensive options for the first time since December 26. In his second season, the former No. 2 overall pick is having a breakout campaign, averaging 21.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 34.5 minutes per game in his 23 games this season. Miller may be on a minutes restriction, but he should quickly step back into a key role in Charlotte's offense.
