Brandon Marsh Absent From Tuesday's Starting Lineup
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh is not in Tuesday's starting lineup against the Miami Marlins and left-hander Jesus Luzardo. Recent trade acquisition Cristian Pache will get the start in Marsh's stead, hitting ninth against the emerging Marlins southpaw. The lefty-swinging Marsh will likely sit against tough left-handers throughout the season but is off to a white-hot start, hitting .385 with two homers, four doubles, two triples, one stolen base, and an eye-popping 1.352 OPS in 28 trips to the plate. While solid, his Statcast metrics aren't nearly as mind-blowing as his electric start to the season so exercising caution would be the prudent move moving forward.
