Brandon Lowe Playing In Rehab Games
5 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Brandon Lowe (shin) played back-to-back days on Wednesday and Thursday for the Gulf Coast League Rays and will play multiple games with High-A Charlotte as the next part of his rehab. He said he's feeling confident and continues to check off boxes for a return, but there's no timetable for him to be back in the major league lineup. The 25-year-old has had a very successful season for Tampa, hitting .276/.339/.523 with 16 home runs, 40 runs, 49 RBI and five stolen bases in 76 games in his second season. He's been out since July 2, which is part of the reason why the team went out and traded for veteran middle infielder Eric Sogard at the July 31 trading deadline.
