Brandon Drury Under The Weather, Scratched From The Lineup
5 months agoLos Angeles Angels infielder Brandon Drury (illness) was scratched from Wednesday's starting lineup against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers due to an illness. With Drury retreating to the bench while he's under the weather, Luis Rengifo will man the hot corner in Anaheim and bat second, while veteran Luis Guillorme will play second base and bat in the nine-hole for the Halos against Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta. The Angels have a scheduled day off coming on Thursday, so Drury will have an extra day to rest up before potentially being able to play in the series opener of the Freeway Series on Friday against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. The 31-year-old Drury just returned on Monday from the injured list and has gone 1-for-6 with a walk since rejoining the big-league club. He should be a lineup regular when healthy, but he's opened the year going 19-for-110 (.173) with one home run and just six RBI.
