Brandon Drury Growing Frustrated In Minors
6 years agoNew York Yankees infielder Brandon Drury is sounding quite frustrated as he remains deadlocked with the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. The 25-year-old, who arrived via trade from Arizona this past offseason, stated he “wasn’t happy” about the decision to stick him in the minors after his injury. His demotion is a direct result of Miguel Andujar’s rise. The 23-year-old has become an everyday player for the Yankees at third base, taking Drury’s job. It appears unlikely that he’d lose it any time soon barring injury, as he leads the team in hits and doubles. Drury is just one of numerous sacrifices the Yankees have made due to their loaded roster, as Clint Frazier and Tommy Kahnle currently sit in the minors as well.
