Detroit Tigers outfielder Brandon Dixon came up big late in the team's 4-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday. Dixon went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts, but the hit essentially gave the Tigers the victory. The 27-year-old left fielder came up to the plate in the top of the ninth and quickly untied the 2-2 game by delivering Branden Kline's first pitch of the at-bat over the center field fence for a two-run dinger. It was his fifth home run of the season and second in the past five games. The second-year pro, who has struck out 30 times in 72 at-bats, is currently hitting .306 on the season with a respectable .931 OPS.
