Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski was a coveted name in trade talks this offseason. However, the Warriors made it known he wasn't on the block. According to Podziemski, Warriors governor Joe Lacob also informed him the same thing. "He told me, 'you don't have anything to worry about," said Podziemski during an interview. "You're a priority here." The 21-year-old appeared in 74 games in 2023-24, averaging 9.2 points and 5.8 rebounds. But it's a new era in Golden State, with Klay Thompson now in Dallas. While Stephen Curry is still the No. 1 scoring option, the door is open for anyone to absorb the surplus shots left by Thompson's departure, meaning Podziemski might at least double his scoring average in 2024-25.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski scored 26 points on 6-for-11 three-point shooting in Monday's 109-106 win over the Houston Rockets. He nailed two triples early on and provided efficient scoring throughout the night, finishing 9-for-18 from the field. In 40 minutes of action, Podziemski also had five rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one block. After battling food poisoning during Game 2 of the series, Podziemski has quickly returned to form and has emerged as a crucial player for the Warriors in this series. The 22-year-old is Golden State's third-highest scorer in the postseason, trailing only superstars Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler III. He has averaged 16.7 points in the three games he has played while healthy.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski (illness) is not listed on the injury report for Saturday's matchup against the Houston Rockets. Ahead of Wednesday's Game 2 of the series, Podziemski was a late addition to the report due to a stomach bug. He was upgraded from questionable to available shortly before the game started, but Podziemski logged only 14 minutes of playing time, going 0-for-5 from the field. Having Podziemski back at 100 percent would be a big boost for the Warriors. The 22-year-old sophomore began the playoffs with an impressive performance, recording 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals during a 95-85 victory in Game 1.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski (illness) played only 14 minutes in Wednesday's Game 2 loss to the Houston Rockets. The 22-year-old battled a stomach bug, finishing scoreless with five shot attempts. Golden State added Podziemski late to the injury report with a questionable tag. He was upgraded to available before tip-off, but Podziemski clearly wasn't in good condition to play, missing the entire second quarter. The Warriors removed him from the contest with 9:44 left in the fourth quarter. Podziemski will now have two days to recover from the illness before the Warriors and Rockets meet in San Francisco on Saturday for Game 3.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
