Braelon Allen Locked In As The RB2
Braelon Allen has easily been the most impressive rookie in training camp and is locked in as the RB2 behind starter Breece Hall heading into his first NFL season. The 235-pound bruising back will spell Hall and contribute as a short-yardage back in 2024. The 20-year-old was never really utilized much as a pass-catcher in college at Wisconsin, but he's also impressed with his hands this summer with the Jets. Allen relies more on his size and power as a RB instead of speed and agility. His stock is definitely on the rise in dynasty/keeper leagues, but because Hall is expected to be utilized so much (if healthy), it's hard to imagine Allen having any standalone fantasy value unless Hall misses time with an injury. In single-year leagues, Allen is merely a deep-league handcuff option, at best.

Braelon Allen An RB4 In Week 18
Braelon Allen ran for 26 yards on six carries in a Week 17 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He will look to put the finishing touches on his rookie season in a home matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 18. The Dolphins have been solid against running backs this season, allowing the 13th-fewest fantasy points per game to the position. Allen is unlikely to see much work behind starter Breece Hall this weekend, leaving him as a low-end RB4 option who should not be considered to start in any fantasy formats.

Braelon Allen Runs For 26 Yards In Week 17
Braelon Allen carried the ball six times for 26 yards in a 40-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 17. Allen finished third on the team in rushing yards behind both Breece Hall and Isaiah Davis in the blowout loss. That being said, the Jets have little left to play for heading into the regular-season finale against the Miami Dolphins. While nothing is official, the team could opt to shut down Breece Hall, who dealt with a knee injury earlier in the month. If that happens, Allen would have flex value in fantasy leagues that play for championships in Week 18 of the regular season.

Braelon Allen Tough To Trust In Week 17
Braelon Allen saw just three touches in a Week 16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He will look to bounce back in a road matchup against the Buffalo Bills in Week 17. The Bills have struggled to contain opposing running backs this season, allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to the position. Allen is now sharing backup running-back touches with fellow rookie Isaiah Davis, making both players difficult to trust heading into Week 17.

Braelon Allen Held To Three Touches In Week 16
Braelon Allen carried the ball twice for five yards and caught his lone target for a five-yard gain in a 19-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16. Allen dealt with a back injury throughout the week but ultimately suited up for the low-scoring loss to the Rams. Whether it was the result of the back injury or the Jets trying to get Isaiah Davis more touches, Allen was barely used in the contest. He has been a high-end handcuff for much of the season but with Davis starting to siphon away some of the backup touches behind Breece Hall, Allen is a cut candidate in fantasy leagues heading into a Week 17 road matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
