Brad Hand Earns a Hold in his Cleveland Debut
6 years agoCleveland Indians relief pitcher Brad Hand earned a hold in his Cleveland debut despite allowing a run on a solo home run in one inning of work. Hand was acquired from the San Diego Padres during the All-Star Break. He was closing for the Padres, but will work in a setup role for Cleveland. Closer Cody Allen has been struggling this season and blew a save on Friday, so Hand could ultimately move into the closer's role before long.
