Brad Hand Blows a Save on Tuesday
5 years agoCleveland Indians closer Brad Hand blew a save on Tuesday, leading to a 2-1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. It was only the second blown save of the season for Hand, who allowed a solo home run to Justin Smoak that tied the game. In total, Hand pitched 2/3 of an inning, allowing one run on two hits, facing four batters. Hand's ERA went up to 2.55. He's been a bit shaky over the past few weeks and could lead Cleveland to look a little more into the relief pitcher trade market than expected. Still, it's more likely that the Cleveland front office will add to the bullpen while keeping Hand in the ninth inning.
