Bobby Witt Jr. Mashes More Baseballs On Thursday
4 months agoKansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. continued to tear the cover off the ball on Thursday, going 2-for-4 with a homer, a double, and two RBI in a 7-1 win over the Detroit Tigers. Witt also walked and scored twice to round out his line. He has been on an absolute heater since July started, slashing .489/.520/.833 with seven homers in the month. He has now hit safely in 14 games in a row and 22 of his last 23 games. There are endless ways to describe how the 24-year-old is playing, but the best way to put it is that he is giving Aaron Judge a run for A.L. MVP, something that would've been a ridiculous thought just a month ago.
