Bobby Miller Won't Start On Regular Rest
5 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that right-hander Bobby Miller won't start on regular rest (four days off) this Sunday for the series finale against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers. It remains to be seen if the Dodgers will treat Sunday as a full bullpen game or if they'll use Ryan Yarbrough or Nick Ramirez in bulk-relief roles, or go with a spot start from someone at Triple-A Oklahoma City. Even though the 25-year-old allowed only two earned runs in five innings in his last start on Tuesday against the division-rival Diamondbacks, he's had a tough go of it in his sophomore season in the majors and has also missed considerable time due to injury. Miller is currently 1-1 with a 6.12 ERA and 1.60 WHIP with a 22.9% strikeout rate in just six starts. In three starts since coming off the injured list, he has a 6.75 ERA and 1.73 WHIP with seven K's and nine walks.
