Bo Nix Has A Huge Challenge In Seattle In NFL Debut
7 months agoDenver Broncos rookie first-round quarterback Bo Nix looked great in training camp and the preseason while quickly winning over the coaching staff and being named the starter over Jarrett Stidham. Many analysts thought Denver reached for the Oregon product with the 12th overall selection back in April, but head coach Sean Payton really likes him, and Nix's athleticism and strong arm could help him excel in the system right away. With that said, there is a lot of pressure on the 24-year-old as Denver's first rookie to start the season opener since legend John Elway in the early 1980's. In addition to that pressure, he'll be making his first NFL regular-season start in the harsh environment at Lumen Field in Seattle against the Seahawks. While Nix is an excellent stash in dynasty/keeper leagues, he's only worth a bench spot in two-QB superflex leagues in his rookie campaign as a QB3 heading into Week 1.

Bo Nix Has Modest Showing In Playoff Debut
3 months agoDenver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix went 13-for-22 with 144 yards and a touchdown during their loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon. Nix added 43 yards on four carries, which led the team on the ground. The Oregon product started out hot completing a 43-yard TD to his college teammate Troy Franklin to give Denver an early lead on their first drive. However, the Broncos could not get anything going on offense throughout the rest of the game as the Bills shut the door after this touchdown. Nix relied on his top wideout, Courtland Sutton, in this contest as he saw a team-high nine targets and brought in five passes for 75 yards, which also led the team. Despite the tough loss, Nix enjoyed an excellent debut season, throwing for 3,7775 with 33 total touchdowns. After an impressive debut campaign, the former first-round selection is a rising asset in dynasty formats.

Bo Nix Has Sleeper Potential Against Buffalo
3 months agoDenver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix had a pretty special rookie campaign after being taken in the first round last April, helping lead Denver to their first postseason appearance since 2015. He finished as a top-10 fantasy signal-caller thanks to 3,775 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 17 games, also adding 430 rushing yards and four TDs on the ground. The Broncos will be on the road on wild-card weekend in Buffalo against the Bills and they'll be almost 10-point underdogs. While nobody is expecting Denver to pull off the upset, positive game script could set Nix up to score nicely for fantasy managers willing to use him as a low-cost sleeper in DFS contests. The Bills defense did allow 226.1 passing yards per game and the fifth-most fantasy points per game in the last five weeks to opposing QBs.

Bo Nix Saves His Best For Last To Get Broncos Into The Playoffs
3 months agoDenver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix saved his best performance of an incredible rookie season for the Week 18 regular-season finale in a 38-0 shutout win over the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday that sends the Broncos to the postseason for the first time since they won Super Bowl 50. With the Chiefs resting most of their best players on defense in this one, Nix took advantage to go 26-for-29 for a season-high 321 yards and four touchdowns. He added seven carries for 47 yards on the ground and broke an NFL record for a rookie with 17 straight completions. As he's done all year, the 24-year-old first-rounder from Oregon spread the wealth to three different receivers for his four TD passes. Nix looks like the real deal after his first 17 NFL games, throwing for 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while adding four rushing TDs. Bo Nix Set Up To Produce In Week 18 Against Division Rivals
3 months agoDenver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix has several factors working in his favor to produce as a strong QB1 in fantasy football in the Week 18 regular-season finale at home against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs. First off, Denver can lock up their first playoff berth since the 2015 Super Bowl-champion team with a win over a division rival in front of the home crowd. That's reason enough in a Week 18 with many teams across the league resting starters. But the 24-year-old from Oregon has also continued to get better throughout his first year in the NFL, throwing for three touchdowns just last week in a near-miraculous comeback win against the Bengals. Nix is the QB11 in overall fantasy points on the year through 17 weeks and will be taking on a Chiefs defense that will be resting some of their best players, including pass-rusher Chris Jones. Nix has a clear path to high-end QB1 numbers in fantasy this week.
