Blake Snell Progressing, Throwing Up To 75 Feet
6 months agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Blake Snell (groin) is continuing his rehab in Arizona and threw at 75 feet on Thursday. He will continue to throw on flat ground over the weekend. The lefty has had a disastrous start to his season after signing a five year, $135 million contract in the offseason. His 9.51 ERA and 1.944 WHIP are certainly not what he and the Giants had in mind when they brought him on. Snell is eligible to return from the IL on June 18th but there's no guarantee that he will be rejoining the Giants rotation at that time. Given his tumultuous start the Giants may have him take his time to get right before returning. Fantasy managers should be patient for Snell's return. In Snell's absence, the Giants will look to continue starting Mason Black (8.79 ERA) or take a bullpen approach.
