Blake Coleman Headed To Calgary
3 years agoBlake Coleman, an unrestricted free agent, signed a massive six-year contract with the Calgary Flames. The late-bloomer will come with a $4.9 million annual cap hit to fill a middle-six role with the club. The 29-year-old is a veteran of just five NHL seasons. He's coming off a season with the Tampa Bay Lightning that saw him score 14 goals and add 31 points in 55 games while average more than 15 minutes per game. Coleman is known for finishing his checks and playing a gritty style of hockey. He's also taken more than 200 shots per season twice in his career and has surpassed the 20-goal mark twice. He'll have some value in regular fantasy leagues but will get a boost in leagues that value hits. Coleman will also likely see more ice time in Calgary than he saw in Tampa Bay.
