Blake Bortles Struggles In Joint Practice
6 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings held a joint practice on Wednesday at the Vikings training facility in Eagan, Minnesota. Though the run game looked strong during the session, Jaguars.com's John Oehser reports that Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles struggled against Minnesota's defense, throwing an interception to Terence Newman and nearly tossing another to Xavier Rhodes. Bortles struggling against a top defense isn't a new development in his career arc and it highlights why Bortles is entering his fifth season with the team yet is still considered a possible stumbling block to the team's Super Bowl hopes. Bortles is a decent QB2 option this season, but his limitations and Jacksonville's reliance on its run game keep him from being a candidate to vault back into the upper echelons of the position in fantasy production.
