Benjamin Watson Visiting With Patriots
6 years agoFree-agent tight end Benjamin Watson, who has unretired, is visiting with the New England Patriots on Thursday, according to a source. He is also considering the Chiefs, Bills and 49ers. The veteran tight end had 35 catches for 400 yards and two touchdowns last year with the Saints. He started his career with the Pats in 2004 and played six seasons with them before joining the Browns. It's no secret that New England is looking for tight end help with Rob Gronkowski retiring, but they already signed Austin Seferian-Jenkins. The veteran Watson could still have a role if he landed in New England, but he'd be nothing more than a low-end TE2 with a limited ceiling.
