Bears Could Hold Justin Fields Out To Avoid Long-Term Damage
2 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields (shoulder) remains questionable for Sunday's meeting with the Jets. The signal-caller has a separated shoulder but is willing to play through pain moving ahead. However, with Chicago unlikely to make the postseason, the team could keep him out if it means avoiding "long-term damage," according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The 23-year-old has been a potent fantasy option after a horrendous beginning to the 2022-23 campaign. That said, fantasy managers should consider rostering another quarterback just in case. Yet, Trevor Siemian, who would start if Fields can't go, isn't the answer versus a formidable Jets defense.
