Auston Matthews Scores Goal In Game 5 Loss
2 years agoToronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews scored a late goal in the third period of Thursday's 4-2 loss against the Lightning in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference first-round series. Matthews brought the Maple Leafs within a goal of sending the game to overtime for the third consecutive time, but the team was unable to score again and close out the series on home ice. Matthews has scored four goals and added four assists through five games, and the Maple Leafs will have a chance to end the series on the road where they picked up overtime wins in games 3 and 4.
