The moment many Toronto Maple Leafs fans have been waiting for finally arrived in Game 3. Auston Matthews found the back of the net. Late in the second period, Toronto’s top line of Matthews, Zach Hyman and William Nylander connected on a goal, giving the Leafs the lead for the third and final time on Monday. Matthews took a pass from Nylander, turned and ripped a wrist shot over the shoulder of Tuukka Rask. It was the fourth goal of the period and proved to be the game-winner for the Maple Leafs. The goal was Matthews’ first of the postseason, but not for lack of effort. He now has 14 shots through three playoff games. There’s no question of his skill and potential to impact this series, so this is a good sign if you’ve been starting Matthews in DFS.--Kevin Acorn
