Austin Voth Called Up, Austin Adams Sent Down
7 years agoWashington Nationals pitching prospect Austin Voth has been called up to give some depth to the team's bullpen in their finale against the Diamondbacks in Washington, D.C. Infielder Austin Adams has been sent down in a corresponding move. This is Voth's first appearance at the MLB level and he's been impressive in his four Triple-A starts so far. In 18 2/3 innings, opponents are batting .169 against him and he owns a miniscule 0.70 WHIP. He has struck out 22 batters while only walking two. Voth also made headlines recently as he pitched the first three innings of a combined no-hitter for Syracuse on April 18th. He was lined up to start on Sunday, so he can be used for multiple innings. He's not fantasy relevant until we see how he does against major league hitting.
