San Francisco Giants outfielder Austin Slater will begin to take grounders at second base and third as manager Bruce Bochy is looking to boost the team’s offense versus left-handed pitching. Slater has been off to a nice start with a .300 batting average and three stolen bases over his first 30 at-bats.
