Austin Romine Drives In Three As Yankees Win Another
5 years agoWhile New York Yankees All-Star catcher Gary Sanchez is poised to return this week, temporary starter Austin Romine is performing better than expected. The career-long backup recorded three hits Tuesday night at Camden Yards as the Yankees recorded their seventh consecutive victory, 9-4. Romine drilled a two-run double in the fourth to increase his club's lead to three. He later drilled a 400-foot bomb when New York's lead was shortened once again. All three of his hits were extra-base hits as the Yankees maintained their nine-game AL East lead.
