6 years agoTampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Austin Pruitt will relieve Sergio Romo on Friday. Pruitt will provide the length to the start and will attempt to bridge the gap from Romo to the rest of the bullpen. Pruitt has made four outings since returning to the Rays roster. His first outing was bad, as he surrendered three earned in 3 1/3 innings. Since then, he has pitched 13 1/3 innings and surrendered just two earned runs while striking out eight. Pruitt has interesting fantasy value in this role, as he will provide more innings than an average reliever, but he is not starting the game. That is a great benefit in leagues which have a starts limits, and in deep leagues he is worth an add.--Ben Rolfe
