Austin Meadows Drives In Four Thursday
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Austin Meadows went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and a home run in Thursday's 9-1 win over the Yankees. Meadows homered in his second at-bat of the day, then doubled twice, driving in a pair of runs on one of his two-baggers. The 26-year-old was in the midst of a brutal 1-for-20 slide but has since gone 4-for-8 with three extra-base hits in his last two contests. Meadows' .230 expected batting average isn't much better than his actual .208 mark, though his barrel rate, expected slugging percentage, and expected wOBA more closely resemble his breakout 2019 campaign, giving fantasy managers hope that he can be a strong producer the rest of the way.
