Austin Meadows Batting Second Against Cincinnati On Sunday
Austin Meadows will bat second behind Josh Harrison Sunday against the Cincinnati Reds. Meadows is an outstanding .372 hitter at home and has an OPS of 1.051 during day games. The Pirates rookie is worth a look in DFS and is definitely worth a pick up in deeper season-long leagues. The remaining lineup for Pittsburgh is scheduled to be: Francisco Cervelli, Colin Moran, Corey Dickerson, Josh Bell, Gregory Polanco, Jordy Mercer, the pitcher Joe Musgrove.

Austin Meadows Shut Down For The Season
Austin Meadows will be shut down for the rest of the 2023 season, according to manager A.J. Hinch. The 28-year-old has been away from the team since early April due to mental health reasons. He continues to undergo treatment for his anxiety near his home in Florida. The Tigers aren't in the playoff picture anyway, so they've decided to let him work on himself for the rest of the season. The hope is that Meadows will be able to contribute to the team next season.

Austin Meadows Not Doing Baseball Activities
Austin Meadows, who is on the 60-day injured list with anxiety, still isn't doing any baseball activities. The Tigers are hopeful that he can get "up and running." The 28-year-old outfielder hasn't played since the opening month of the season and has just 21 at-bats in 2023. He continues to receive treatment for his anxiety, but there remains no timetable for his return, and fantasy managers should probably move on in deeper leagues, if they haven't already. The Tigers will most likely send him on a minor-league rehab assignment once they feel like he's ready for game action. It's still up in the air as to whether Meadows will make an appearance in a big-league game before the season is up.

Austin Meadows To Miss Some Time
Austin Meadows (personal) has been placed on the 10-day injured list. The left-handed slugger will take some time away from the team due to anxiety. There is no word yet on how long Meadows is going to be out. In the meantime, Akil Baddoo has been recalled from Triple-A. He has been crushing the ball in Triple-A, so hopefully he can carry that over into the big leagues. Fantasy managers will have to check back for another update on Meadows.

Austin Meadows To Sit Out On Tuesday
Austin Meadows (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Houston Astros. Meadows will receive his first off day of the season as the Tigers attempt to keep their young outfielder healthy. Eric Haase will cover left field and bat fifth against Framber Valdez on Tuesday. The expectation is that Meadows will be back in the lineup for their next game. Haase isn't a great streaming option against a tough pitcher in Valdez.
