Austin Gomber To Make Rehab Start Friday
Austin Gomber (forearm) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday night, according to Thomas Harding of MLB.com. Gomber exited his last start on June 20 with forearm tightness, and has been sidelined since then with what has been diagnosed as a left forearm strain. Prior to the injury, Gomber had been having a good year on the mound, going 6-5 with a 3.68 ERA and 24 percent strikeout rate over 78 1/3 innings of work. This is a promising sign for fantasy managers, as Gomber could be back in action before the end of the month.
