5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Austin Gomber got the start for Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Washington Nationals. He tossed two innings, allowing one run on three hits and a walk while striking out one. It wasn't the greatest outing for Gomber, but he was able to limit damage and threw 15 of his 21 pitches for strikes. Gomber has had some success in the minor leagues but projects as more of a middle-of-the-rotation starter at best. He's worth a look in deeper leagues if he earns a spot on the rotation.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
