Austin Ekeler Set For Increased Opportunities
1 month agoWashington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler (concussion) logged a full practice on Thursday and Friday and is cleared to return this weekend. Despite leaving the Week 3 contest against Cincinnati early with a concussion, the former Charger found the end zone for the first time in his Washington career and tallied 57 all-purpose yards. Through the first three games, Ekeler has caught at least two passes in each of them and averaged 11.8 PPR points. This week, Brian Robinson Jr. (knee) did not practice and remains questionable heading into the weekend, which could open the door for Ekeler to see a hefty workload on Sunday. If Robinson cannot play, Ekeler should be viewed as a solid RB2 with upside. If Robinson can play, Ekeler will revert to his typical flex projection.
