Astros Could Be Fit For J.T. Realmuto
6 years agoAlthough Miami Marlins president of baseball operations Michael Hill has said that the team isn't shopping catcher J.T. Realmuto, some sources think the Houston Astros are a better fit for Realmuto than the Nationals. Washington now has their sights set on Rays catcher Wilson Ramos as the trade deadline approaches. The indication now is that the Astros may be more willing than other teams to give up what it takes to land Realmuto, who is from Oklahoma. Brian McCann is out with a knee injury and Max Stassi has been doing the catching in the meantime. Realmuto is one of the best catchers in the game and is hitting .317 with 12 home runs and 44 RBI in 265 at-bats. His fantasy value would go up considerably moving from a bad Marlins team to the first-place Astros.
