A's Give Khris Davis Two-Year Extension
6 years agoThe Oakland Athletics agreed to a two-year contract extension with outfielder Khris Davis on Thursday, keeping him around through the 2021 season. Financial terms of the extension weren't disclosed. Davis has certainly earned this, as he's become the gold standard for power hitting in the major leagues. The 31-year-old has hit exactly .247 the last four seasons and has gone deep 40-plus times in each of the last three years, culminating in a career-high 48 homers in 2018. He's hitting .260/.305/.662 with a league-high 10 homers and 20 RBI through 20 games already this year, so he's on pace to set a new career high in 2019.
