Colorado Avalanche winger Artturi Lehkonen (shoulder) was activated from Injured Reserve on Sunday. Earlier in the week, Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar said he expects Lehkonen to make his season debut in Tuesday's matchup against Seattle, and it now looks like he will indeed be ready to join the lineup. Lehkonen, who notched 34 points (16 goals, 18 assists) in 45 appearances last season, should play a prominent role immediately. Rookie Ivan Ivan has been reassigned to the minors to make room for Lehkonen on the roster. The 22-year-old had a decent spell with the big club, posting four points (two goals, two assists) in 12 outings.

Colorado Avalanche winger Artturi Lehkonen (shoulder) is penciled in to return to the lineup on Tuesday versus Seattle. The Finnish forward has been sidelined for the start of the season because of shoulder surgery. He will sit out one more game as Colorado visits Nashville on Saturday. Lehkonen's return will be a big boost for a team that has lost a number of forwards to injuries, with Valeri Nichushkin also sitting because of a suspension. The Avalanche will use Lehkonen in a top-six role, and he should also get plenty of usage on the power play.

Colorado Avalanche left wing Artturi Lehkonen (shoulder) will be re-evaluated at the end of the month. The Avalanche have 11 games scheduled for October, starting with Wednesday's regular-season opener against Vegas. With Gabriel Landeskog (knee) and Valeri Nichushkin (suspension) also unavailable, the team's attack is looking quite light behind the top line. The absences could mean a big role for rookie Calum Ritchie right off the bat. He practiced on the second line on Monday and has made the opening night roster.

Colorado Avalanche left wing Artturi Lehkonen (shoulder) wore a non-contact jersey in Wednesday's practice. The Finnish forward is recovering from shoulder surgery, and the Avalanche are expected to start the season without Lehkonen. However, Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar has said that Lehkonen will be ready to quickly return to the lineup once he's cleared for contact. Colorado faces Vegas in its season opener on Oct. 9. Lehkonen has averaged 0.75 points per game since joining the Avalanche in 2021, but he's also missed a lot of time due to health issues, making him a somewhat risky fantasy option.
