Artemi Panarin To Miss All-Star Game
5 years agoNew York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin will not make the trip to St. Louis for the NHL All-Star Game due to an upper-body injury. The 28-year-old was held out of his team's 4-2 loss to the New York Islanders on Tuesday night as the issue has apparently bothered him for more than five days. Panarin is in the midst of an incredible first season in the Big Apple, sitting fifth in NHL scoring with 68 points (26 goals, 42 assists) while also registering a plus-22 rating, 16 power-play points and 146 shots on goal in 47 games. The Rangers are hopeful the electrifying Russian can return for the team's next game on January 31st versus the Red Wings. Left-winger Chris Kreider will take Panarin's place at the ASG this weekend.
