Aroldis Chapman Takes Loss Saturday
3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman was charged with his second loss of the season in Saturday's defeat to the Philadelphia Phillies. Chapman entered a tie game in the 10th inning and quickly got into trouble, making a throwing error at first which also moved the auto-runner to third. He then got an out but allowed an infield single that clinched the victory for the Phillies. Chapman was nearly perfect through the first two months of the season but has struggled as of late, blowing a save and taking a loss in his last two appearances. Chapman should be expected to bounce back, though the last two performances are certainly still concerning.
