Aroldis Chapman Picks Up League-Leading 33rd Save
5 years agoFor the first time in seemingly forever, the New York Yankees played a game with the Baltimore Orioles that was hanging in the balance in the ninth. Closer Aroldis Chapman entered with a one-run lead and put the tying run on base, but struck out two en route to the save. The 21-pitch performance likely means Chapman will be unavailable for Thursday's series opener against the Cleveland Indians. This was his 33rd save of the season, tying him for most in the league. Along with his 33 saves, he boasts a 2.45 ERA.
