Aroldis Chapman Enjoys Smooth Outing In Save
5 years agoNew York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman hasn't been quite right since the All-Star break, but had his easiest appearance since then on Friday night. Taking on the Boston Red Sox, the All-Star tossed just nine pitches and allowed no runners on base in New York's 4-2 victory. He even struck out a batter en route to his 28th save, tops in the American League and the second-most in the majors. Chapman had allowed at least one runner on base in six straight appearances to close out July, making this all the more encouraging a performance to kick off the new month.
