Aroldis Chapman Blows Save As Yankees Lose
5 years agoThe New York Yankees were one strike away from winning their 60th game of the season and extending their AL East lead over the Tampa Bay Rays Monday night before it all went south. With All-Star closer Aroldis Chapman on the mound, the road team scored three runs in the ninth with a three-run blast. It was his fourth blown save of the season and easily his most crushing, as the players were visibly shaken by the loss. He remains atop the AL East in saves with 25, also good enough for second-most in all of baseball. The Yankees now lead the division by five games.
