3 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals signed Ito Smith, adding to their running back depth. It is unclear whether Smith will have a shot at the No. 3 RB duties behind Chase Edmonds and James Conner, and he'll be competing with the likes of Jonathan Ward, Eno Benjamin and Tavien Feaster for playing time while trying to pick up a new offense on the fly. While playing for the Atlanta Falcons, Smith rushed for 689 yards on 175 carries. He added another 314 yards on 55 catches, totaling just above 1,000 yards in 35 games. If Smith ends up winning the No. 3 job, he will be working behind Edmonds and Conner. Edmonds and Conner figure to split the majority of backfield touches in Arizona, which would leave mere scraps for a third body. Smith could make Arizona's 53-man roster, but barring injuries, Smith should be off the redraft radar to begin the season.--Satamian Levon
