Cardinals Defense Showcases Strong Effort In Week 1 Defeat
1 year agoThe Arizona Cardinals defense came to play in the team's 20-16 loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday. They totaled six sacks, three turnovers, and one touchdown. Those are excellent numbers against any NFL team, and seven of the Commanders' final 11 drives were four plays or less. Led by linebacker Zaven Collins, the Cardinal defense was able to bottle up the Washington offense to the tune of just 92 total rushing yards. While the Arizona offense is projected to struggle throughout the year, the defense is capable of keeping the team in close games, and if they continue like this, they could be a solid streaming unit moving forward.
